You know those photography magazines that keen photographers buy from the local store? They've usually got a picture of a pretty girl on the cover and, amongst the pages about lenses and the latest digital SLRs, there may be a one page article about how the photo-shoot of the cover model was done. And therein lies the disappointment - there is usually only one page. A site which may well fill the disappointment gap - and more - is The New Nude. It is a magazine style site which sets out to explore erotic, high-quality photo-art through in-depth articles, interviews and many photographs of beautiful models. Most unusually for an adult site, its launch is coupled with The New Nude in print - a quarterly magazine that subscribers receive when they sign up to the web site. The first "issue" of The New Nude is out now, both on the net and in print - although the web site, unlike its print version of course, updates daily. There are some 13 galleries of Models available to view just now with styles ranging from conventionally curvaceous Muse to the striking, almost goth girl Chrystyne. Other items include News items, a forum to share information with other photographers, professional photographer of the week (with images), photographic book reviews, and articles featuring the work of famous erotic art photographers. The New Nude - both in name and actuality - is a very new venture. It will be interesting to see whether its producers can maintain the high standards the first issue has set in terms of design and intelligent insight into things photo-erotic. I for one am hoping for articles by professionals on how to conduct a photo shoot, lighting, composition etc. They've already made a good start reviewing some of the digital technology that's available. If I have one question, why bring out a parallel publication in print? Well, having seen a pdf version of the magazine I can understand that there are enthusiasts who will appreciate owning real quality images in addition to the virtual ones. The printed magazines may even become collectors' items in due course. Value for money: Excellent! Subscribing to this site gives you access to all the articles and high resolution images on the web site plus four quarterly issues of the 132 page The New Nude magazine delivered to your door. The annual subscription to The New Nude is $49.95 which we believe is excellent value for a publication which, incidentally, beats those photographic magazines you can buy on the high street hands down .

I just love sites like this. There's porn - and then there's erotica. Sites like Errotica-Archives capture what makes a woman beautiful and sexy.

Quantity and quality: Compared with some other sites Errotica-Archives is small to medium in terms of the amount of content. The quality though is high - lots of beautiful women lovingly photographed. All images are in small, medium and large format and it's these high resolution photos that really make this site sing. You can almost smell these beautiful girls' skin and feel the texture. You just don't get this from the average porn site. The site started in September 2004 and there's between 13-15 galleries per month to browse through

All the content is exclusive because the guy who runs the site is the photographer.

Cost: $19.99 for 30 days rebilling at $14.99 with cheaper options for longer periods.

Quality and quantity: The quality of Martin's photography is not in question. It is highly professional and all the young women are just lovely. There are about 80 photo sets with between 100-200 images per set.

Cost: There is no membership fee because image sets and videos are bought as required by credit card payment. This payment method, although unusual, makes sense for a smaller, high quality site like Martin's because you pay-per-girl rather than paying for all the material on the site (some of which you may not want). A single voucher costs US $5, 10 vouchers: US $40, and 20 vouchers: US $70. A single photo set or video costs one voucher.

Updates: Depending on his photo schedule Martin Krake updates about once a week so it's worth checking back for the latest content.
