The World Wide Web, it is said, is simply a reflection of humanity containing, as it does, all that is fine, beautiful and good but also everything that is mediocre, evil and bad. In this review we take a slightly deeper look at a site which is justifiably recognized as one of the good guys. Since its debut in 1999 MET can rightly claim to have trail blazed in the area of adult entertainment on the net. They were, for example, the first to feature fictional covers and the first to offer 2000 pixel, high-resolution photos and in 2003 to offer them at 3000 pix. They were also the first soft core site to offer DIVX movies (more on that below) and to ZIP photo sets for easier downloads - something that's now standard on most good adult sites.

Surfers require more than innovation, however, to make them subscribe and keep loyal to a site. So what, in the eyes of its members, makes MET so special? Really, it's quite simple. MET recognizes the four golden rules of the successful adult site: provide the highest quality content (rule 1) in large quantities (rule 2), update regularly (rule 3) and provide excellent customer support (rule 4). Oh ... and rule 5 (!): cater for the particular niche that the subscribers like.....and it's here, of course, that MET excels - understanding and providing niche teen erotica that is artistic, tasteful and devastatingly sensuous.

Photography: Over 30 photographers are featured on MET some of whom are the World's best and most famous. Amongst these are photographers who produce work for Penthouse and Vogue. Photographers with international awards like Roy Stuart, year 2000 Erotic Photographer of the Year, and Trevor Yerbury - 1994 Photographer of the Year. Just as importantly, from the members' viewpoint, MET's renown in the world of nude photography means that they have the pick of new photographic and fresh model talent as it comes along. Few other sites are in this unique position. We understand that something like 10 new and established photographers try to get their work featured on the site every week. That's a lot of fresh material.

Models: because of the range of photographers contributing to MET it is impossible to categorize the material into a single style. It would be fair to say, however, that MET's central philosophy is to present sensual rather than pornographic images. The models pose sexily without being overtly sexual. Most are young and the images capture them at that very special moment when their youthful beauty is just flowering - when their curves are perfect, their complexion is lovely and their hair shines with the luster of youth. Many of the images are of such high resolution that it pays to enlarge the photos on your screen to better appreciate these lovely young girls' skin texture or the fine hairs on the back of their arms or small of their back. Unlike many web sites, that feature models only from their own area, MET's models come form all over the World reflecting the varied nationalities of their photographers. French models, which are quite rare, English models, American models, Russian models, Australian models, Argentinean models, Spanish Models, German Models, Italian Models, Canadian Models, Asian models.....

Quantity of content: the amount of content on this site is huge: 80,000 images and growing (70GB of exclusive content). We are deeply envious of new members' joy at discovering the cornucopia of content at MET. The galleries are easy to navigate and members get access to material year-by-year back to and including 1999. There are simply hours and hours of pleasure to be had here. Many of the images can be downloaded in high or regular resolution format. The high res pictures are superb but are often 1MB or more in size.

Updates: MET updates at least twice a day - sometimes six times. That means every night there is more honey to check up on. It is a measure of the quality and quantity of MET's regularly updated content that they hang on to 6 out of every 10 subscribers - that's an incredibly high retention ratio for an adult site.

Movies: Although still images dominate the content at MET they also offer a growing number of movies (about 180 at current count). This inclusion is quite brave of them really because, despite advances in compression techniques, the quality of web movies is poor when compared with still images - and, after all, it is high image quality that makes MET special. Furthermore a good stills photographer can extract the beauty of an inexperienced model but it is much more difficult to create convincingly erotic moving images in the same circumstances. This require a skillful film maker, a natural or experienced model actress plus quite expensive film equipment. Sadly, most adult sites feature film makers whose amateurish movies show pretty girls taking their clothes off. Yawn! Does MET do better? Mostly we think the answer to this is yes. Their movies retain the high quality that MET's photographers bring to their stills photography in terms of lighting, composition and of course the lovely girls .... but sadly, not in image resolution terms for the technical limitations already mentioned. The movies are available in a number of formats The DIVX Movie has the highest quality, MPEG being the second best. REAL Format and WINDOWS MEDIA allows a much faster download time, with lower quality. MET provide a link to the DIVX site at which you can download the codec to view DIVX movies.
