When I was
at school, if we saw pretty girl walking down the street,
my friends and I used to discuss whether she warranted
a score of 7, 8 or 9 out of 10. We weren't being disrespectful,
we were newly discovering beauty in the female form.
So if I say that the young women featured in Pure
Beauty Mag all rate 9 and 10 out of 10, you'll
understand what I mean.
Now these girls are incredibly
beautiful but they're not perfect in the way the
soft porn industry usually defines perfection. Bear
with me, and I'll explain what I mean. The problem
with a lot of glamour photographs is that the models
don't look real. Their skin is caked in body make-up
and any skin texture, or minor feature, has been
digitally "air
brushed" out of existence so that they look
plastic, false, unreal. They belong to fantasy land.
Quite differently Pure Beauty Mag captures these
beautiful women more-or-less as they are. OK, now
I know as well as you do that these models are wearing
some make-up but the point about good make-up is
that it enhances beauty discretely without drawing
attention to itself. |
